Beauce - I`m done
Well folks a little sad news from your favourite blogger in Beauce, I`m out of the race. During the second stage I ran into some minor back problems. At the midpoint it started to cramp up and pretty soon I was going nowhere fast; there was no power going to the pedals. And so I climbed off in the feed zone.
Having come here with what I thought was some pretty good form it`s completely demoralising to be out of the race. Now I have to regroup and come up with a plan for the rest of the season. The real problem is the bruising that my ego has taken and the sudden lack of belief in myself. Over the next couple of weeks I`ll have to put in some good work to build up my confidence and hope that the legs come good. I`ll keep you posted as to how it goes.

Pffftt, no worries dude! Bad reaction to the ice cold rain that day...nothing more. Here's what you do...head down to the strip there in good old St. Georges, pound back a couple of cinqante's in the tall can, and then split...somehow getting yourself to Ottawa for the weekend!! See if you can convince Joe to go, too!

I agree with Jibber...immerse yourself in the local culture first. Let it take you and rob you of your innocense.

I second what Josh says, use that negative energy in a positive way. put it in the past and regroup.

How about this for moral, your a Canadian National Champion, you've won races internationaly, at the professional level (something few Canadians have done)So, clear your mind of all that hokus pokus "bad legs" stuff, and get it through your head, that it's all in your head.
You've done the work, you trained hard all winter, your gonna fly man.

Hey Buddy!
Even Schumacher can't be at the top of his game all of the time so get sideways for a few days, relax, then tune up and get ready for PA.
I'll have a good cut of T bone for you when we get there with maybe a little glass of wine on the side.
I'm bettin on ya!!

Hmmm...how to top what others have written. No use trying, but I'll echo their words. It was a bad day, not bad legs. Chill for a few and get back in there. You're ready to go.

Everyone, thanks for the support and encouragement. I`ve been chilling and am heading back to TO tomorrow; time to put in some miles and gear up for the rest of the year.
See you on the road.
